Aizome Bedding has an internal guideline that we adhere to in our production. here we declare what we DO and what we DON'T.
Aizome uses natural indigo dye, which is made from the leaves of the indigofera plant. Using a plant-based dye versus man-made dye is better for the planet, but also better for you! Indigo has antibacterial properties inherent in the plants. In fact, our indigo bed sheets are 3x more antibacterial than Japanese hospital-grade bed sheets.
Aizome Bedding purchases GOTS-certified organic cotton. Aizome's Transaction Certificate (Reference number 1001667/00101996) verifies that the cotton we use is 100% greige (unbleached, untreated, or 'Virgin' cotton) of the fabric grade 'Organic'.
National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance™
Aizome Bedding™ is accepted by National Eczema Association as a product that provides benefits for people with eczema and sensitive skin.
Dermaveritas™ Skin Health Seal
Aizome Bedding™ is certified by Dermaveritas for Skin Health. This certification consists of a rigorous dermatologist lead examination known as HRIPT Test in which over a period of two months the skin reaction to the fabric is observed. With this test, Aizome Bedding™ can claim to be skin-safe, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and dermatologist reviewed.
Every batch (roughly 500 sets) has to pass a toxicology test. In this test, Aizome Bedding™ assesses if any kind of impurity have occurred that would diminish the high quality standards of the fabric.
